This year, Operation Freedom Exchange is proud to stand behind two incredible causes that uplift and protect the heroes among us — SAFE (Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment) and K9s on the Frontline.
SAFE, a program of the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission, provides immediate financial support and long-term care to the families of firefighters, law enforcement officers, and EMTs who have died or suffered career-ending injuries in the line of duty. Since 2003, SAFE has honored these brave individuals by ensuring their families receive aid within 24–48 hours of a tragedy and remain supported through scholarships, holiday assistance, legal aid, and more.
K9s on the Frontline is an outstanding organization that places professionally trained service dogs with military veterans and law enforcement officers. These K9 partners not only assist with daily tasks but offer profound emotional support — often transforming the lives of those who’ve sacrificed so much for our safety.

Supporting the SAFE Program
Operation Freedom Exchange proudly supports the SAFE (Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund) through the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission. This important program provides immediate financial assistance to the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty. SAFE delivers a $40,000 check to the surviving family within 24–48 hours, helping provide stability and support during an incredibly difficult time.
By supporting SAFE, we stand with the families of those who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Every contribution helps ensure that the spouses, children, and loved ones of fallen first responders receive the care and support they deserve when tragedy strikes.
